The Whitetail Deer is not only the world’s most prevalent species of deer, but also one of North America’s most wanted game animals. To date, 30 subspecies of whitetail deer have been identified in North and Central America, and another 8 in South America. In North America, the current whitetail deer population is estimated to be between 20 and 25 million. Each fall, approximately 11 million eager hunters take to the woods in search of trophy buck.
